Saya sangat apresiasi.”

(BCTemas)

Anis Yulianti, A Female Customs Inspector

“Do not ever hesitate to try new things, even at first it is hard but we can definitely adapt” Anis said on I-Talk event held nationally by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Thursday (28/01/2021). Anis is a female customs inspector at KPPBC Tanjung Emas.

Having a red zone is around 30%, becomes a challenge for Tanjung Emas Customs officer in inspecting imported goods that enter through the port. So far, customs inspectors are always assigned to men. However, since the end of last year, 3 women, namely Anis Yulianti (26), Desy Putri Rizkita (25), and Kuntari (25) joined as the first female customs inspector at Tanjung Emas Port.

According to Anis, to be a female customs inspector at the port is an achievement, because she usually works in her comfort zone. However, since they were at the port they had to adjust. “Sometimes the weather becomes one of the challenges, but they must continue to do the inspection although sun very extreme and also rainstorm, because the owner of the imported goods is ready to be checked.

“They are extraordinary, have a commitment to work overtime, especially in the midst of a pandemic. I really appreciate it. “The Head of the Tanjung Emas Customs Office, Anton Martin, expressed his appreciation to the three female customs inspector for their dedication to providing services.
“I believe that being a leader is by design, it doesn’t come from luck, and we provide equal opportunities not only for men but also for women. This policy is indeed to prepare competent and tested female leader candidates” He added. (BCTemas)
